No matter how hard you try, a smoker can rarely quit smoking. He/she may act in front of others that he/she would never smoke , but ultimately he/she starts again. May be he/she will increase the number of cigarettes he/she smokes a when he/she restarts.This is one of my best friend's experience.
I unfortunately have the same problem. It is not really the nicotine withdrawle that is my worry. The mental issue is my worry. I have heard that hypnosis this very successful. Does anyone know if this is available in Doha?
Cold Turkey.. Substitute the craving with something other than food.. I had a cup of chopped ice with me at all times.. I found that if I munched on that for the first couple of weeks it helped.. Whenever I wanted a cigarette I substituted it with the ice. I also walked a lot and exercised when I started to think about having a cigarette. I did not give myself a lot of time to think about the cigarettes. It was not easy to quit.. This worked for me..
Anil.... If your WILL POWER is strong then you can quit right now otherwise you will never in your life ! That is my challenge :-) No Medicines will work on permanent basis only your "Will Power".

get a piggie bank with a lock throw away the key, every time u want to smoke put Qr.6.50 into the box, whatever just keep putting money into the piggie bank every time u feel like smoking. Next surround urself with non smokers, try not to even inhale second hand smoke, take up a sport to keep urself busy. Idle mind is the devils workshop, a busy mind is a healthy mind.
sorry, cannot help here, I have never had this addiction (smokign is NOTt QL, why to get addicted?)...you can sort this issue out with SPEED. he is expert in it.

ITS QUITE IMPOSSIBLE TO QUIT SMOKING ONE FINE MORNING UNLESS YOU HAVE A STRONG WILL POWER TO RESIST CIGARETTES. FEW POINTS I CAN CONTRIBUTE ;
1. TRY TO AVOID CARRYING THE PACKS WITH YOU.
2. AVOID SMOKING IN OFFICE AND INSIDE YOUR RESIDENCE.
3. REDUCE THE FREQUENCY OF SMOKING.
4. KEEP YOURSELF BUSY..
