Mini Teddy Bear Hospital to be set up at Doha Festival City

If you’re looking for something different for your children, perhaps you should consider taking them to the Mini Teddy Bear Hospital scheduled to run at Doha Festival City from March 17 to 30.
The unique idea, first of its kind to be implemented in Qatar, invites children to bring their favorite teddy bears to the makeshift hospital and learn how to take care of their health in the presence of some professional doctors and volunteers, reported Gulf Times.
Young ones are given the opportunity to learn about healthcare in a fun and innovative manner.

They can see their teddy bears undergo medical screening, followed by a visit to nine different stations comprising a waiting room, a nutrition consultant station, a surgery room, a dentist, an ophthalmologist, and a pharmacy clinic respectively.
The activity will be carried out at the mall’s Centre Court on the ground floor. Parents can register their children anytime between 10 am to 8 pm, according to Qatar Tribune.
The initiative focuses on helping children overcome their fear of doctors and health checkups by offering a more relaxed and personalized environment.
Sponsors of this activity include Baladna, Toys R Us, IKEA, Mustela, Kulud Pharmacy and The Hamilton International School.
Children will also get a chance to enjoy various giveaways from Mustela and Baladna, during the 14-day activity.
Doha Festival City’s over 14,000 Kids Club members will get to enjoy fast track access and other exclusive benefits.
The mall’s Senior Marketing Manager, May Mazrooq said, “[This] will be a unique and engaging edutainment experience for children. We strive to create memorable moments for all of our visitors and that includes our little ones.”
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone and we would like to sincerely thank our sponsors and partners for supporting this special event,” she added.
