Has anyone tried lasik at Magrabi?
By starry_eyed •
I am seriously contemplating on having my eyes fixed via laser eye surgery -- I have really high astigmatism.
Has anyone had it done at Magrabi? Can you give me a rough estimate of how much should I set aside for that and is it painful? I heard it only takes like a few minutes. Any feedback would be great pls!
I was told Magrabi does the best lasik here in Doha. Feedback pls :)
thanks in advance!
I have a good feasible alternate, please call me if interested.

you need to be more careful, mine was not 100% successful, i have dry eyes each morning and at night my eyes get really tired and dry?
so ask around and make sure that doctor had done this procedures and get the names of those people who had gone thru this surgery.

Oh, and the procedure took about five minutes and wasn't painful or scary.

Hi Starry, I didn't have mine here in Doha, but I've been happy with the procedure and results I had in the US. You should ask how many of this particular procedure the ophthalmologist has done (mine had done over 35,000!) and is it "custom" lasik, which gives a better result. After the procedure I had about 45 minutes of discomfort (burning sensation) but I could see 20-20 from the very beginning! It takes about a day (24 hours) of recovery then some eye drops for about a week. I have been very happy without glasses or contacts for five years now.
