Dermitologist or Surgeon???

Hi-

I want to have a small bump removed but not sure which professional I should visit? A Primary Doctor, a Dermitologist, or a Surgeon? I have given all different opinions.

I would hate to waste my time and money to visit a wrong doctor. Please help if you know the process.

Thanks.

Oh! I'd appreciated if you can give me a good doctor's name and his/her phone number.

Thank you everyone. I think I am going to try to visit both places (having second opinion is safe than sorry!)

Elioswd: I am kind of new here. Is there anyway you have the Doctor's phone number? If not, how do I get there from Dasman Center, for say.

Alija: You sounds like a professional! Do you recommend any good dermitologist? By the way, it's a bump on the shoulder (about the size of 50 dirham). It's growing but very slowly. No pain or infection.

Thank you guys.

Depend on where it's located. If let's say it's a mole on your face or neck, then I recommend that you go for the oral maxillofacial department of HMC and do it at the daycare clinics. If it's a large mole and suspicious in nature, then have it done under a dermatologist and then sent for pathology lab for examination. General surgeons will not do it unless it will involve some sort of general anesthesia or you need admission as an inpatient in Hamad hospital, which I doubt you'll need anyway.
