Biltong, you say you live near Deco roundabout. There's actually a shortcut if you come from the midmac roundabout. It will take you 2 mins to get to FFC along Al Nasr.
biltong, they are giant stores at two different places, one near the FFC at Al sadd and one in hyatt plaza. The one in hyatt plaza always has great fresh fruit and vegies, the one near FFC i wasnt so impressed with.
I prefer FFC in Al Saad..Veggies in Airport FFC are not so good..they mix old and new. Fruits are good in both b places. I think Rayyan FFC is the bigges in terms of Size.
Some of the stuff in Carrefour is aweful, but most of it is ok. Just cos it doesn't all look shiny and identical doesn't mean it's bad! I find the little corner shops usually have better stuff though, but obviously it costs more, otherwise try the fruit & veg market off Salwa Road.
For bread, PQ, Paul and Cafe Bateel do nice stuff, but again it's expensive.

there is no FFC on Al Sadd street. FFC is at the end of Nasr Street, beside Giant store.
On Al Sadd street is Food Palace, just behind the Royal Plaza
