1. Cirque du Soleil – BAZZAR

Alchemy Project Entertainment in association with National Tourism Council is thrilled to bring the phenomenal Cirque du Soleil in Doha with their newest production ‘BAZZAR’ from April 25 to May 4 at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha’Island.

The show is hosted by Katara Hospitality and sponsored by Staybridge Suites - Doha Lusail and Ooredoo.

BAZZAR is Cirque du Soleil’s 43rd original production since 1984.

Cirque du Soleil ‘BAZZAR’ is an eclectic lab of infinite creativity where a joyful troupe of acrobats, dancers, and musicians display splendid performances.

Lead by their maestro, they band together to invent a whimsical one-of-a-kind universe.

In a place where the unexpected is expected, the colorful group reimagines, rebuilds, and reinvents vibrant scenes in an artistic, acrobatic game of order and disorder.

2. International Dates Exhibition 2019

Dates: April 24 - May 4, 2019

Time: 09:00 am - 09:00 pm

Where: Souq Wakif

Entry: Entry is free for all

The International Dates Exhibition is taking place at Souq Wakif until May 4, 2019.

The festival includes 150 local and intentional exhibitors from nine countries in a large tent at Souq Waqif.

A number of varieties of dates from Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine, Iran, North Africa and other countries are being showcased at the exhibition at reasonable prices.

The demand for dates upsurges during the holy month of Ramadan. Hence, the exhibition is being held to provide this important commodity to locals and residents.

3. Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili”

Dates: May 2, 2019

Time: 07:00 pm

Where: Opera House, Building 16, Cultural Village Foundation- Katara

Cultural Village Foundation- Katara in cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia in the State of Qatar presents Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” on May 2.

Please note that children below 6 years old are not allowed in this event.

4. Make your Ramadan lamp

Dates: May 4, 2019

Time: 05:00 pm – 06:30 pm

Where: Qatar National Library

Join Qatar National Library this Saturday, May 4, if you love creating handmade crafts!

You can make your own Ramadan lamp out of beads to adorn your home during the Holy Month.

5. The Astronaut

Dates: May 3, 2019

Time: 05:00 pm, 06:00 pm, and 07:00 pm

Where: Building 41, Al Thuraya Planetarium, Cultural Village Foundation - Katara

Entry: Entry is free for all

Cultural Village Foundation – Katara invites everyone to the screening of “The Astronaut” on May 3.

The event is open to all ages and screening will be both in Arabic and English.

6. Baraka: Blessing of the Garden

Dates: April 2- May 2, 2019

Time: Weekdays: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm

Where: Oxygen Park, Education City

Entry: Entry is free for all

If you're interested in plants and their medicinal and daily benefits, gardening, botany and history, be sure to check out the 'Baraka: Blessing of the Garden' exhibition in Education City.

Students from the Museum and Gallery Practice MA programme at UCL Qatar, in collaboration with the Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG) – a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) – are hosting the exhibition from 2 April till 2 May at Oxygen Park, in QF’s Education City.

The exhibition highlights the use of plants mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith, and their significance to society. The narrative of the exhibition aims to inform and engage visitors, and, encouraging them to think about how our everyday life involves and depends on plants, is divided into four categories: cosmetic-medicinal; edible; lifestyle; and fragrance. It is the first of its kind in Doha, and aims to inspire an appreciation of nature amongst the community members.

Aspire Ramadan Sports Festival

Dates: May 8 - May 19, 2019

Time: 09:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Where: Aspire Zone

Entry: Entry is free for all

Ramadan has its special atmosphere in every country, and Aspire is no different.

For the 8th year in a row, “Ramadan Sports Festival” is running at Aspire Zone’s various venues from May 8 to May 19 to pull a large number of participants and partners.

The activities will take place from 9:30 pm to 12:00 am.

The 12-day festival will feature a total of 12 activities that ranges from sports competitions to physical challenges.

Activities are open for everyone.
