Can anyone give me the name and number of a private driver, that does not charge too much per month. I just need it to go and come from school everyday.

Hi

I am the Operations Manager at Trilogistics and we have an excellent bus service that we offer at American School, DESS, Doha College, Compass and Newton British Schools.

All of our buses have highly trained drivers and we staff each bus with a lady monitor to ensure the safety of the children during pick-up, on the road and drop-off. We have very strict policies for our service and our people and all of our buses are new, properly maintained and equipped with first aid, seat belts, etc..

I can suggest that you inquire at DESS about our service and feel free to speak with other parents.

All of the schools are very confident in our ability to not only provide a transportation service, but also the lengths we go to - to ensure the safety of all children.

If you have any questions your always welcome to give me a call at 685-7166.

May be some people here have better and some had bad experience with private busses. My experience with private busses is very good and if really you wanted to know the exact situation with school busses then read the Gulf times viewpoint and letters to editor. You will really get the picture and the details are very authentic.

Peace.

Never let your children with a Private Driver if the School Bus can pick him up.

1. You will never know where the driver drops the kids. They might have to cross a busy road. There is usually heavy traffic near the school during school open & close hrs. Pvt Drivers cannot go past the school gate while the School bus does so and usually stops near their section (Junior or Senior or boys or girls).

2. A Pvt Driver could pick up strangers to drop on the way and that person could be a molester.

3. The driver himself can get over friendly if it is a girl child or even a male child.

4. School Bus usually comes early in the morning and late in the afternoon (when the school leaves) depending on the dropping route.....a couple of hours for us might seem an eternity but the kids do not mind it...they often never even get hungry....

5. What if the driver never shows up at the school to pick up the child? (could be deflated Tyre, accident, overslept). Imagine the agony of a child standing alone when everybody from his school has left (students & teachers).

6. In case of accident School Buses are much, much safer than compared to any other vehicles. Only problem is if they fall over Bridges.

I prefer the school bus as they have some responsibilities to drop your child at home on time. If the driver is sick or something happenes to the bus it will be the responsibility of the school to arrange an alternative for picking and dropping your child. A private driver does not have that sort of responsibility. They might do some sort of adjustments in case if the driver fell sick or something happens to his car but still if something goes wrong you have no chance to complain and if you ask him for explanation he will tell you, ok cut the charges for those days which I did not pick your child.

Offcourse private drivers are 100% better in driving then school bus drivers but not all school drivers are suicide drivers.

Frankly speaking if you can manage and afford a private driver its much better for your kids.

Peace.
