Qatar as seen by the rest of the world...

Apparently Qatar is the world's fattest nation now. I wonder whether this study considers stats from entire population was considered or only natives. Either way - interesting read...

Agree with PeterGrifin. Americans safe WAY fatter than Qataris on average. Some are the largest I have ever seen, especially when you go to Texas. HUGE!

instructor786... if you're 1.84cm, your weight should be around 90kg. 115kg is about 25kg over your ideal weight, that would be classed as obese anywhere in the world, sorry :o(

but listen, don't get offended, just do some more exercise, improve your diet - this will only make you feel good :o)

Why is it interesting that I come from the United States?

Maybe every country has its own rating about obesity just like how differently people get labeled tall or short in different countries.

when you are about to label someone who is on the thick side, you usually say chubby->overweight->Fat->obese

From what I've seen, Obese is someone that is 6"1 that weights over 300 KG.

you missed the point S_isale, it's not about picking on others, it's about spreading awareness. no need to get defensive. it is a fact that marrying within family bears a huge risk of genetic disorders.

My best friend's parents were first cousins... by the age of 30 he had diabetes and a brain tumour.

It's just unfair on the children to suffer. but we all know it's hard to discuss old traditions like this one. People find it hard to challenge things they take for granted.

British women are the fattest in Europe.

now would that also be down to relatives marrying each other?

But it is..guess wherever there's great wealth and lots of food options then such a situation is inevitable. Undoubtedly there are some very large people here as compared to back from where I come from and even expats who were of an average weight back in their homelands tend to gain weight fast here too. Spreading awareness is most important. People need to know the dangers of being overweight. Problem is a lot of people may know but don't really care!

That said I find it hard to believe the "Qatar is the fattest" bit. maybe just one of em all..

I come from the United States. This study is garbage, just like whoever wrote it.

You want to see what Obese is? Go on a trip to the US.

People here are Fat, Not Obese.

I agree that there are more Fat people in here than there are in the US, especially among the young generation. But, when it comes to Obesity, Qatar does not stand a chance to compete with the US.

"Green-Eyed Monster" redirects here. For other uses, see Green-Eyed Monster (disambiguation).

For other uses, see Jealousy (disambiguation).Jealousy is a second emotion[clarification needed] and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of presenting emotions such as anger, sadness, resentment and disgust. It is not to be confused with envy.

Jealousy is a familiar experience in human relationships. It has been observed in infants five months and older.[1][2][3][4] Some claim that jealousy is seen in every culture;[5][6][7] however, others claim jealousy is a culture-specific phenomenon.[8]

Jealousy is often reinforced as a series of particularly strong emotions and constructed as a universal human experience; it has been a theme of many artistic works that seek to privilege monogamous discourses. Psychologists have proposed several models of the processes underlying jealousy and have identified factors that result in jealousy. Sociologists have demonstrated that cultural beliefs and values play an important role in determining what triggers jealousy and what constitutes socially acceptable expressions of jealousy. Biologists have identified factors that may unconsciously influence the expression of jealousy. Artists have explored the theme of jealousy in photographs, paintings, movies, songs, plays, poems, and books. Theologians have offered religious views of jealousy based on the scriptures of their respective faiths.
