i suggest better go to health center first for pregnany test then ones pregnancy is confirm then request for ultrasound to check the condition of the fetus if its developing properly.

you can go to any private clinics in doha for the scan. I had mine at 7 weeks at al rafa, now known as aster. I was checked by Dr. Hema Rajeev. you can also go to al shifa or naseem al rabeeh clinics for the scan. Or else go to your PHC and talk with the Dr. about your worries..

ultrasonogram detects my pregnancy at 5 weeks.

Embryo may not be detected but the gestational sac will be seen hence no heartbeat at all.

Embryo and heartbeat will be present on your 7 weeks :)...

Go to DR. Khudsiya....near by to villageo...she is the best in doha...after checkup she will suggest to do ultra sound or not? in her clinic itself u can do the ultra sound......

Thankfully I didn't have any problem. It wa smy first ultrasound. Just after confirming the preganncy through a Blood Test at a Lab, I visited Hamad. Anyways we have to visit Hamad for our future monthly consultations (unless u opt some other private hospitals). So, it is better to visit Hamad from the starting stage itself so that their fifle will have all our diagnostic details since beginning stage. It will be very useful towards Trimester and the Delivery stage (if u r planning to deliver here)

Its not true that ultrasound cannot detect early pregnancy. Moreover, as you said, if it is 5 weeks now, and doubt any problem/condition, best option i can suggest is go to Hamad Hospital Women's emergency and see the doctor (U may have to exxagerate a bit @ the emergency counter to see the doctoe quickly). They will definitely do Ultrasound and do consultation within half an hour. I had similar experience @ 5th week.

Any suggestions for OB drs or clinics that will test betas?

Sorry, I should've said I am pregnant. 5 weeks. Having some worrisome symptoms, so I would like to find a place in case I need to go in for an exam and/or ultrasound.

Ultra sound won't detact pregancy at early stage ....take pregnancy testing strips from chemists..

U can go to any private labs in doha which is having the ultrasound facility. Better to opt a clinic/ hospital, so that u can consultthe doctor also once you get the report. Even you can go to Hamad Hospital.
