Popular edutainment concept KidZania to launch in Doha in 2018

A popular edutainment concept is set to takeover the children in the country when KidZania launches in the first quarter of 2018 in Doha's Aspire Zone.

KidZania Doha is expected to provide a unique educational and entertainment experience in Qatar, where children will be able to role play in a replication of the real life working environment, with a vast variety of professions to trial.

KidZania is also one of the world's fastest growing family entertainment brand, with KidZania Doha expecting to welcome over 300,000 visitors year-on-year. The establishment will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 children with approximately 250 employees at once.

Children between the ages of four and fourteen will be allowed to role play the functionalities of working life by combining inspiration, fun and learning. The experience hopes to teach children core values including self-reliance, team work, honesty, integrity and giving back to society.

The launch will also include the Boeing 737-500 aircraft, perfectly complementing the aviation section at KidZania – this will be the longest aircraft of all KidZania's in the region.

The edutainment facility will offer children the opportunity to play 'adult jobs' in up to 60 pretend roles including being a doctor, dentist, engineer and pilot. KidZania is designed to replicate a city that is built for children, complete with buildings, streets, vehicles and a functioning economy.

The experience is designed to empower children through each activity and learn a variety of things such as: how society functions, how to finance, how to work with a team, taking on a profession and how to be independent, which are all real life skills.

Children will also be able to experience flying the A380 aircraft with access to 6 state-of-the-art simulators as well as pretend to be cabin crew, learning how to ensure the well-being of their passengers onboard.
