Aside from Huggies & Pampers, is there a better brand of diaper being sold in supermarkets? Both are A ok, but not as absorbent compared to the brand my baby used to wear back home...it's actually a Japanese brand, more expensive but worth it. Bad thing, it's not available here in Qatar.

I used Maman for my daughter. Maman is a Korean brand and her skin was not irritated like with the US brands (Huggies & Pampers). Finding them can be tough: I've seen them only in MegaMart and one of those large supermarkets around the airport (Safari centre, I think).
I've tried those diapers which say "Japanese Technology" but are made in Saudi Arabia. They are quite rough and not soft.
How to select the size? Like what does the numbers mean on a pampers cover 4/19, large, 7-18kg ? I can understand weight but what other figures stand for? Unfortunately, pampers website didn't help.
Why don't you try Bambi, they're absorbent and also have a dotted line indicator on the front which shows you how wet your baby is and when a change of diaper is due.
