Nurseries in Doha or Wakra
Good day! I want to get an opinion about nurseries here in Qatar. i have a 2yr old daughter and we are planning to enroll her. I have some queries and would really appreciate if you share your experiences, thoughts and knowledge about it. And if you can also suggest the best nurseries in Doha or Al Wakra and their fees I would be very grateful. :D
1. Can we leave her in the nursery for 8hrs everyday?
2. Is it good to enroll her in a nursery or is it better to get her own babysitter?
3. In the nursery, do they take naps? Because in my mind, they just play all the time (again, we have no idea).
4. Do they provide transportation?
5. And lastly and most importantly, do they give tender loving care for the child?
TO ALL NEW PARENTS: PLEASE ASK NURSERIES/KINDERGARTEN TO SHOW SEC APPROVED DOCUMENT FOR FEE ALLOCATED TO THEM, BECAUSE ONE OF THE KINDERGARTEN IN WAKRAH ARE CHARGING 10 TIMES MORE THAN THE SEC ALLOCATED FEE. TO ALL EXISTING PARENTS, BEFORE SUBMITTING THE FEE ASK THEM TO PRODUCE SEC DOCUMENTS.

If you are living in Wakra, a drive around or search thru Qatar Living.. would help you to locate quite a few, though I cant comment on the quality of services provided, but can throw some light based on my experience...
1. I feel your 2 year old still young to start a nursery as such, if you are working and need a place to leave the baby then a baby sitter is more advisable
2. I had my son enrolled at a nursery and although they were ok i found 2 basic issues there, one the more the kids at daycare the more the chances of falling sick, they all are small and vulnerable so can infect each other.. and second is at daycare centers the caretakers change and hence there is not enough personal care.
3. I found for my daughter a good babysitter luckily, a lady who takes care of kids at her home, she is loving and caring, feeds, puts them to nap etc and the main point is my kid is happy to go there !
