If you dislike someone so much you cannot continue. Divorce him and dont listen to twaddle rearding golden chances. Some Things do not workout so aslong as you have tried your best and know in your heart that you have then Divorce him.

Respected Sister,

You can do this, as well as you will get your freedom but you will loss a golden chance of making a man as good husband and an excellent friend of yours.

If you give-up now then you will never get the chance to do big things in your life. After all you are a Muslim, well Qatari cultured and a responsible person.

And by divorcing your husband is not a good solution but only running far from your life, because after some time you will become to understand the real problem.

So please be seated together and do remember your sweet memories then make the lovely home of life in both of your minds.

Well, to be "treated bad" is a relevant term. Maybe he doesn`t think that this is bad or wrong not to listen to her opinion, not to care about her needs, not to discuss any matters with her, not to give a sh*t about her emotional state...

Maybe he is involved with some other woman, which is normal for him (and could be normal for judge as well), and unacceptable for her.. All these matters are subjective. And again, who is a Judge? to prove what and to WHOME?

Or she needs to wait to the point when he beats her badly in order to get divorce?

Qatarisun..

If she can prove he treats her badly she can be divorced right away, but if it's just that she doesn't love him then she has to go for khula'.

Dear, Islam allow you to give divorce to your Husband and its also HALAL but ALLAH dont like this. I dont know what situation you facing now but listen dear, please try to talk with your husband, see whats are the real problems, listen from him also, make some compromises and not just only you, he also do some compromises, give your love to him even you decide to give divorce him, just give full one week to each other like a last chance, try to solve the issues, make understand problems, may be he is in trouble and that is why he get angry or never listen to you, try to listen him, see, there is a child in every man so bring out that child from your husband. Dear, Divorce is your right but try to avoid, dont talk with his friends or relatives, talk personaly, take him out with a dinner, tell him this is just last time, listen from him, tell him your problems, share each and everything, please,, this is my advice to you.....i am sure that you will change your decision.

and what if it is husband's fault? I don't think, if the husband treated her nicely, she would like to divorce him out of the blue.. what if he doesn’t treat her well, tough with her, leaving her alone all the time, shouting, or even worse, hit her?

does she still need to pay him back? how about HIM paying her for the emotional (and possily phyical) damage?

It is possible and in this case you'll have to pay him back what he paid you as dowry.

He might be given the chance to 'demand' something else but it's unfair. Prophet Muhammed didn't do that yet some would say the husband can demand whatever he wants not only the dowry. Crooked practice!!

if you married him in sharia, you can get a divorce as well in sharia.....but that should be the last step....i mean try each and every corner to solve your issues....if the issues still remain, only then divorce is the last possible solution in sharia

and she is not bringing up details. She simply asked if it is possible because she isn't knowledgeable about the shariah policy regarding divorce and she is not from here.

And as others said, it is possible and she should talk to someone in the court or a lawyer.

sky_diver, I think you should address this matter with your husband. No one here will help you otherwise. As for your question, in Islam, the Woman can Divorce her husband.
