Ideas for Family Fun?

I am married with a 5-yr-old and a 1-yr-old. I came out to Qatar for interviews and was left with a really good impression of what life would be like for me and my family. Beach, restaurants, dinner at the Souk, playground on the Corniche, ice skating, school sports & dinner with (soon-to-be) new friends.

I want to fill my families imagination with other things that we could be doing. Does anyone have any ideas and advice for things to be sure not to miss?

Thanks!

Thanks to (almost) everyone who replied. I certainly appreciate it. My wife and kids are looking forward to coming out to Doha.

Take care!

And Qatar can be very nice for young families. It is a pretty safe place and you'll find lots of other families here. You might also consider the idea that your kids can be bilingual in Arabic and English if you seek that out. They are inclined to have a very diverse group of kids in their school. The only other thing I would add is the chance to travel to places from here that are not as accessible from the States.

you will many thing to entertain the kids especially that they are young...

their are many mum groups which u can join... kids love the company of other kids...

u can join different activities like mygym and mindlab at mycentre

u can start teaching them swimming with qmotions as they accept toddlers...

Qatar is a relaxing place to raise kids and who wants to entertain young childrens will not find difficulties.

you also can take them on short trips to dubai (one hour flight away) they have a small indoor snow park, aqua parks and aquarium. nice to visit once or twice a year but nicer to live here in my opinion.

i hope i was helpful

"you will get enough money only which you were not supposed to get in your own country."

Please elaborate.

you will get enough money only which you were not supposed to get in your own country.

Rather than money, whatever you get as you said "Beach, restaurants, dinner at the Souk, playground on the Corniche, ice skating, school sports & dinner with (soon-to-be) new friends." these all are for once only and then you will become saturated and especially your children.

if it is all the matter of money, you are welcome.
