Offending the laws and specially Allah's laws is a Major thing. There should be no mercy on those who have no respect to others and have no problem poisoning the morals and virtues of this society. Covering for them is a crime and you will be their partner.

If you give a deaf ear to righteousness you will become a Deaf Devil.

Morals, values and virtues are uphold by all members of the society and not by the secret police. Do your job as a Man.

Imagine a terrorist hiding in the US. Will American citizens cover for him b/c they don't want to affect his life! Of course not, they will kill him with their hand if they are allowed!

Hence, protect your society the same way others caresabout theirs.

Have they harmed you? Just imagine if you were in their situation. Now think about it. What are you going to acheive by informing on them. NOTHING. but you will have ruined their lives. Just think not only their two lives but many of their family members who are depending on the financial aid they send back home.

Imagine if they have kids or their are paying for their siblings to go to school. Probably they will have to stop their education. Or if their parents need the money for medicines or just to sustain themeselves.

So I implore you like a caring human being think twice before you take a rash step.

Later would you be able to live with your conscience?

Also if you have afamily would you like your family to be destroyed due to some person just not liking your way of life and deciding that his way is the right way and yours is the wrong way.

Dear Tenants,

I've got some regretful conflicting information from different sources regarding your marital status. Therefore, I request your help to vanish such suspicions by providing legal documents proving your marital status. These documents should be translated to either Arabic or English and issued/certified by local authorities.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

N.B. Failure to provide the required papers within one week of receiving this mail will results in severe consequences and will be dealt with through legal channels.

Your landlord,

The best thing is to advise them by letter, with acknowledgement of receipt, that you have learned that they are not a couple in the true sense, i.e. not legal, and that this is not allowed according to the Qatari law. Because of this you request them to vacate the room/flat within 2 days effective date of receipt of this letter.

This way you cover your back incase there is some trouble later on & you have proof that you acted immediately when you learned about their situation.

Do not contact the police as it is not really your business. What is important to you is that they move out.

Now if they do not move out within the timeframe mentioned, then you can first advise them that you are obliged to contact the police and if after that they still do not move, then you contact the police.

Sound good to you?

Good luck

then why dont you just ask them to move out?

you want to ruin their lives yet youre too afraid to take responsibility about it....

oh well....

1. Inform them not to live together there without marriage. Tell them that in Qatar this kind of living is strictly forbidden (im sure & believe so).

2. give them the deadline for its compliance (should not be more than 24 hours since you inform them)

3. inform the authority (I think on this case is CID). But you shall ensure the accuracy of your report, otherwise they will charge you for making fake report, defamation, etc.

But if u r the landlord, just simply warn them that u will cancel the contract if they continue living like that or u will reprot to the authority. I believe by this way, theyll follow u.

Dont bother with the one who oppose you, as in this case (i believe) u r inline with Qatari laws. I believe the expats, wherever they are, should respect the local regulation and culture. If they insist to live by their way, while in the same time contradict the local/original communities, so it is better they go back to their country of origin which allow them doing everything they want.

Hey bro.

Dont put yourself in trouble, just inform them about the issue and ask them to vacatate in a couple of days or weeks or tell them they would face problem.

Now, there's no other option for them and will move out of your flat.

Just a suggestion

Why dont you speak to them and tell them what their previos landlord told you and ask to see their Marriage certificate, if they are not married then you can ask them to leave and tell them the truth, ie that your worried someone will inform and you too will be in trouble.

Don't inform Authorities, you might regret it. Suggest you tell the Couple the Truth that the landlord knows about them and that HE might contact the Authorities (which is how I understand is the Situation)
