Is it possible to bring my wife and son here in Qatar. I am working as an IT professional. If possible, how do you get them to stay in Qatar? Can my wife also work once she is here? Many thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I have a similar question, my fiancee was here on a tourist visa before we got married last week. she was in and out of the coutry from Nov2008-August 2009

now that we're married, she is still in the UK, can she come here to Doha then submit all her paper work to HR at my workplace, or is it best to do it in the UK?

thanks in advance

Nothwithstanding the QR 7000=00 per month basic salary rule ,( meaning even if your salary is less than QR 7000=00 ) , your mandoop can manage the same with his " Vaasta" ---- only thing is that you should be able to proove to the Immigration authorities ( if they ask you to be present in person ) that you can sustain with the available resources in Doha with your family.

So they ask for 6 months bank statement to see how much you have saved / send to your home town.

It is very easy if your mandoop wants it to be -- otherwsie he will make you run in circles to immigration and Indian Embassy.

You can get marraige certifcate orignal & birth certficate of child certified at your country's embaasy, within a day, then go to Ministry of foriegn Affairs, Qatar and get a seal paying QR20, then sponsor letter with labour contract, six month bank statement, Electricity bill of your accomdation, no need for you to direct lesse, passport copies of family, submit all these to Ministry of Labour on C ring road. from 3 days to 7days you will get clearance, take that paper from labour go to Immigration at Madinat Khalifa, Gharaffa office at 6.00 AM, pay Qr200, you will get reciept with application No. After two to three working days check Web site mentioned on receipt. Print Visa or scan send to to your family. Showing this to immigration at home country they can board the flight. It is simple but consuming.usually PRO of company do it with offcourse with bakshis of Qr. 200/=. good luck

hello,

I am pretty new to doha but has learned the rules hard way.

I'll state my experiences here which may be of help to you.

I wanted to bring my wife as quickly as possible.

So I took a tourist visa for her. now at the last point i came to know that its not extendable then i applied for family visit. and it was approved in one day. then i converted the tourist visa to family visit without exit.

Now i will process for her RP.

for processing the RP all the certificates should be ratified by the concerned ministry of foreign affairs of the home country and then by MOFA, Qqatar.

thats it. its pretty easy, but I learned it in the hard way.

It is possible. You arrange a family vis. Your wife can work here and you son can go to school. You will feel better here than your home country except house rent.

You can bring your wife and son under husband sponsorship provided you met the requirements of the Min of Labor, such as 7,000 qat riyals monthly salary, 6 months bank statement and authenticated marriage certificate, etc..yes, your wife can find work here...
