Giving birth at Al Khor Hospital

Hello Everyone,

I am currently living in Al Khor and wondering if anyone has given birth at the Al Khor hospital or has any experience with their services. As we are living in Al Khor, I am concerned with being too far from Doha in case of emergencies. Any help would be great! Thank you!

you have nothing to fear with hamad al khor! we used to live in al khor when i was pregnant and had my checkups there. no long que is one very good aspect. it's also very clean and staff are accomodating. when i was hospitalized due to premature contractions would you believe that i had six nurses looking after me? that's because they didn't have other patients! i was also alone in the 2-bed hospital room! and a senior ob-gyne consultant is also now in al khor, dr. sharara. so obviously al khor hospital is very good...i hope this helps.

Al Khor Hospital (in front of Al Khor community) is the same as Hamad Hospital. all facilities are top of the line, and service are the same as what you'll get in Women's hospital. don't fear. My friend's wife gave birth to that hospital and they don't have any problem or whatsoever. My wife gave birth to our daughter in Women's, coz it's the closest.

Good luck and congrats in advance!
