My question is about the French schools in Doha.
Apparantly there are two: ecole Bonapart and college Voltaire. I am looking for any information about these two establishments. Especially if there are people here who bring their kids there... My son is 7 years old, he is French, actually we are expats in Scotland and he is at French school of Total. Thanks in advance for anwering me

It looks like we managed to get a place in the French school but I don't know what to expect from this school... Looking for parents bringing their kids to the French school Bonaparte. We are moving at the end of October...

Find something close to school as apparently traffic is crazy here.

I guess ecole Bonaparte is still closed for summer vocations as all the French schools around the world :) I also asked for an advide where to live and people say that Doha is not that big and it dpesn't matter where to live... I don't know if it is true or not... What is your first impression about the city?

I am here now in Doha and the rest of my family, my husband, son and twins will be here next week. We have dual citizenship with France and they have been attending French school in the states for 2 to 3 years now. I emailed both french schools and know that Voltaire has space, but haven't heard definitely from Bonaparte. I am unsure which to put them in and if Voltaire, which campus.

My husband's work is in West Bay and mine is in Al Waakra. so unsure where to live either.

Any help or advice is appreciated. We are also looking for a French speaking or native English speaking childcare helper/cleaner.

Thanks for your answer! We are moving to Doha after the first school term. Normally after autumn vocations we should start in Doha. Could you tell me why you chose collage Voltaire? I heard that ecole Bonapart is full and it is very difficult to get a place but my son has a French nationality, hope it would help... I will certainly contact you later on by message to ask about the school, thank you very much for offering help!

Hello

Cant really help you, sounds like we are same situation.

We are new in Qatar and we will have TWO kids starting at the Voltaire school in September.

We posted a few questions on the similar french forum 'Bonjour Qatar' not too much response exept that Bonapart and Voltaire are both well established schools.

We will be sending our kids to the new voltaire school in Al Sooudan (very close to Al Waab.

Do not know when you come to Doha, if it is in the future I would be happy to give you an up-date on how things go.

I am from Scotland but my wife is French and we moved here from France.

If you have found out any new information on other sites I would be interested if you could send message.

All the Best

Cass
