I wrongly assumed that his credentials were not checked and I owe you an apology for that.

It is worth noting, though, that one of the articles referenced above is dated January 2004. That said, would I have googled a guy with glowing references and credentials? Perhaps not.

It is most unfortunate that there is no "international register" to prevent unethical practitioners from traveling from one country to another :o(

Dear Expat Sueno,

I think that you should check your source of information or is it speculation?

"The clinic that hired him" did check his credentials. As did the National Health Authority. If you googled or did a yahoo search in December 2004 you would not find anything.

He had a valid practising certificate for Germany where according to his CV he had worked exclusively for the previous 5 years. The practice he worked in gave a glowing commendation both on paper and verbally.

His certificates were verified by the British Embassy in Doha.

His patients regularly informed me that he was an excellant Dr. The best they had ever seen. He did not receive complaints from patients.

He was an extremely well educated and knowledgable dental surgeon who worked extremely hard for his patients. Unfortunately he did commit fraud against the National Health Authority in the UK which led to his erasure in the UK.

As soon as I was aware of the rumours on this website he was suspended from duty pending investigation. He has now been erased from the dental register in Doha and blacklisted in the whole Middle East.

I would like to say thank you to the person who took the trouble to alert my attention to this rumour.

yikes. What's even scarier is that the clinic that hired him didn't check his credentials - or even google the guy's name. eek.

You can even verify it's the same guy on Dr. Sarah's website:

was effectively "banned" from practicing in the UK? I have heard that there was a dentist who came to Doha after being banned in the UK. . .and that he recently got reported and booted from Qatar. I have no idea if it is him or not, though.
