Cleaned up after myself and threw my trash in the garbage......why was everyone staring. I was told to stop....someone might lose their job?

I'm sorry I misunderstand? You cleaned up your table in resturant? Or something else? Reading the forum here, I've come to understand in Qatar there are many servant types positions tea boy, trolley pushers, etc ... while yes people earn money for these positions, we should be couresty and do the minimum like throwing trash in the bin. The worker can wash the table after you, no? Just be yourself I think! If you want to do it, clean up! If you don't, leave it! I think it's not a very big deal for people to tell you to stop?!
I can't get over the fact that someone felt they needed to intervene when you were cleaning up after yourself
True it is someone's job, but being as I was raised to Clean up after myself... It's just normal to me. They can wipe the table clean, and make this table available faster to the many ppl standing around waiting to sit.
K.C. Its ok, forget caring what other people think. If only there was good customer service, and good people like you and me who know to throw your own garbage away.
Just like I have a problem with being outdoors here..... I never would dream to throw my empty coffee cup, etc on the ground, keep your country clean, begins with yourself. I am shocked to see all the garbage all over the beaches and roads.
