hello everyone ...my child has a recurring problem trying to swallow certain(many) kinds of food ..i was hoping if anyone had any experience with any child specialsts who could examine the reason behind this..thanks for any leads..
by the way, some children can be extremely fussy about what they want to eat, so you may not be able to feed them your version of good and healthy food.
if he is vomiting even on foods that he likes, then you need to get it properly investigated.
thanks fellow mum...han...lol .....for my son it is galaxy
hi desertmoon, some children have a habit of vomiting all the food out, if they dont like it, it starts somewhere when they are 2, when they vomit because it didnt go well with the tummy, then it becomes a habit. they will keep rolling the food in the mouth and choke themselves on the food till they remove it out.other than kitkat, my child would not be able to take any other chocolate, everything would be brought out.
slimy and soft foods can do that.I can throw up on slimy and soft foods, your son is still young.
alsadd is for emergency, but sometimes they will have a doctor available to see you in the other observation rooms.
You can try any of the clinics here for a second opinion, they all have pedeatricians with them.
oh ...i havent taken him to alsadd because isnt that only emergency cases?.everything is very rush rush there ,....i want some doctor to sit with us and take time to help us ..
thanks for the response and well wishes guys...yes expat sueno ..if somethings is slimy or soft kind it makes him soo queasy and then if i force him to eat i better be ready to clean the mess he will make after ....it is almost some valve in his body isnt working right to make food gone to the stomach doesnt go right back up ..:(...my lill man ..he is too small to understand or explain whats wrong:(
Hi,
You can visit alsad paediatric then you could have second opinion from any private clinic (PAEDIATRIC ).
Good Luck,
Depending on the age of your child it sounds like it could be a sensory issue (textures). I would probe further, and if you can get help in your home country then I would do so.
Always best to get a second opinion. Good uck. Hope he gets well.
sorry for the delay guys...he is four ..he has difficulty swallowing food and vomits very frequently because of gagging...my doctor says he has learned to do this because he doesnt like what he is being given ..but im not convinced.:(
I'm sure someone will be able to assist by recommending a good paediatrician. However please give us the age of your child. Someone here on QL may be able to throw some light on the subject, before you see a specialist.
If the child is trying to learn eating. then i think it is anormal thing. Sometimes It happens mistakenly.I mean it happened with my baby also that while he was
trying to chew the food he mistakenly swallowd it.
Hi,
My dear, you should think the age of the baby, ifr the baby age is very young how he swallow any thing.
clarify ur question.
Bytheway if you feel problem then visit alsadd paediatric hamad hospital.
What do u mean swallow many kinds of food , isnt that normal>?
