Katara Announces Movie Screenings at Al Thuraya Planetarium
The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara has announced movie screenings at the Al Thuraya Planetarium
starting from December till the end of January. All movies are informational and showcase various
aspects of astronomy. The screening began on December 22, 2021, and will continue till January 28,
2022.
The movie screenings take place every Wednesday and Friday and there are two shows each day. The
first show begins at 5:00 pm and the second show at 6:00 pm. A couple of the movies are also 3D shows
and Katara has released a schedule of the movies along with their dates and timings of screenings.
The entry into the Planetarium is open for all age groups. Only fully vaccinated people are allowed and
Ehteraz status will be checked upon entry. The registration for each movie happens on the spot. Since
seating is limited, visitors are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each
show. All of these measures have been set in place based on the instructions provided by the Ministry of
Health.
