Recycling

Hi,

any news or progresses regarding recycling?
I know there is paper recycling here and drop my
paper now at villaggio bin, because the management
of our compound does not understand what is it and did
not organise a free container from this company.

What a bout glass and alu, any places to drop those
items for recycling near villaggio?

Thanks.

I have heard that it is a -punishable offence if u put wrong trash in wrong recyclable bin....For glass, iron, alluminium, paper, polythene,un cooked food, cooked food, socks, nylon clothes, cotton clothes, woolen clothes, small electronic devices, big electronic devices, kids book,s adult books, decorative items there are 23-24 kind of disposable bins... My cousin who lives near Tokyo told me that he now owns a strong habit of thinking before throwing as he is there for the last 14 years almost... :) http://traveljapan.wikispaces.com/Sorting+garbage

So sad! Maybe they don't care! But I still separate the trash in different bags...

Qatar has the largest per capita carbon footprint in the world; it also uses more water per capita than any other country in the world; air quality is 6x worse that the recommended level. And there isn't a viable national recycling program (virtually all the trash in burned, giving off toxic fumes).

But, hey, Qatar hosted the climate change conference, so hooray!
