...to 'get used to it' might have something to do with the kind of work you do here. I'm sure for you, cynbob, the education system here is way different from what you knew in the States. For me, healthcare is waaaayyy different from what I was used to. I have gotten used to some things, though, but there are other things I'll probably NEVER get used to. I've gotten used to how people drive here; I'll never get used to those damned shopping carts (trolleys) that have a mind of their own. I got used to seeing people wearing winter coats when it's 60 degrees Farenheit, but I'm not used to keeping my knees and shoulders covered when I'm out in public (I do it, though). I'm not even going to try to get used to the heat and the humidity because I already know I won't be able to.

you can always leave anytime.are you sure that there is no heat, dust and slavery in your country?
Who are you trying to fool? I've been here 9 months and I'm still not used to it! ;)
it takes maximum 6 months to adjust in Qatar , getting used to it . Then either you choose to stay or leave.
Heat , Dust and Slavery.
You always have the choice.

Money ... you wont make as much as you earn here compare what you earn in other place, otherwise you wont be here.
