Is there a company/shop in Doha that can transfer my family VHS video tapes onto DVDs?

VHS to DVD recorders are available in the market. I have one given as gift. I have not tried to convert so cannot confirm about ease of operation or quality.

Actually you can do it yourself. Buy Pinnacle Capture card and Pinnacle Studio and record the VHS on your computer as Mpeg-2. Then burn them to DVD. You will need a reasonable fast PC and at least 2 GB of RAM. If you have lots of VHS it pays in the end. If I'll do it for you I would charge per runtime (The recording on hard disk takes as long as the tape runs). The conversion to DVD format takes about the same time. So, it will easily cost more than the 800 Riyals you'd pay for the Pinnacle equipment (Hardware and Software).
