Where to buy a good electronic Arabic dictionary?

Hey again,

I'm looking to purchase an electronic Arabic-English dictionary before or soon after arriving in Doha. I've used a Japanese one before and it was very useful. Any advice on brands/price/where to find a good one? Will I need to learn written Arabic before I can use it? I'd like, of course, a very user-friendly dictionary for a beginner.

U can get it from Alnasr St in the last signal before family food center, beside Diwanyet elbukhari resturant..

just like Dlightswitch said you can get it from Hyatt Plaza i got the franklin brand it was around 950QR but very useful i can't live without it

The shop TCC (Technical Care Center) at Hyatt plaza sell these, more the high end models though, and they could be quite pricey. You do not have to be able to read arabic symbols for the majority of models, since it will give you an English Transliteration. But they have the option for it to be shown in Arabic also (for writing purposes)
