That depends on the model There's iPad 1, 2, 3, mini and 4. When purchased ensure you keep the receipt safely and have it stamped by the shop where you bought it from as it is covered for a year warranty. You can always ask the store where you buy it from as they may offer an extended warranty for more than 1 year for extra cost.
