Nokia E71 (Video call Not supported ????)

Go to settings. or call Q-tel for the service that u need.

Of course e71 has video call..

Am using e71 and i makes video calls at times...for making video calls...both caller and reciever shud have a 3g fon...also both shud be in coverage of 3G..some areas in doha dont have 3G signals..

i have E71 and it's working great !! have you search in the settings maybe there's smthn you have to change and sometimes like those problems it comes from Qtel so call them and ask

Have you guys tried contacting the phone company to which you are registered to see if they are providing that service.

If they provide the service maybe you will have to ask for "activation of service". Go to your service provider branch office and ask.

There is some info regarding Video Calls in Qtel website but it is dated 2006. Maybe this link could help you (i'm assuming you are registered with Qtel). Be aware that only 3G type phones are able to get the service. Once again contact your service provider

There can be 2 problems....

First one at your end...May be you were not recieving 3G signal on your hand set (You cannot make video calls without 3g being displayed on your screen)...Do check your network setting under settings it should be on dual mode which will enable you to recieve 3g signals...

Secondly may be the other party you are trying to reach is unable to receieve 3g signals or may be the phone is not 3g supported....

Simply send an SMS message containing the word "All" to 92072 and all configurations will be sent directly to your mobile within seconds. you just have to press accept or install, as the message gets back to you and then ur multimedia settings will be done. It should work this way. It did for me.
