WARNING!!! Indian Coffee House

I purchased Chicken and Mutton Biryani in this Resturant located at Jaida Fly Over, next to Le Mirage Suites, Fareej Addul Azeez Street, it is not good Biryani. Taste no good. That is (kitchiri) Biryani. Really not good. The price also not worthy. 22 riyals per order and dont have any taste. And small amount of meat they give. Better go to another reaturant if this kind of food your will eat there..  i give them mark - O% for this kind of food they serve.

Better go to Deccan Dewan Resturant in Salwa Road if you want to eat good Biryani...

Home Land Hyderabadi Spices Opp to HomeCenter Musharrib, beside Vodafone. Mutton Biriyani is 18 and it beats Deccan Deewan.

Guys, Leave the Biriyani and go and taste the indian Sizzlers at Yoko Sizzlers in Food corner of Mannai show room near the Reddison ( Old Ramada) signal junction. You need to approach from Salwa side on Salwa road,

Try the chicken biryani at Cuppa Tea Cafe - Nasr Street. I think it's 18 QR for the chicken biryani.

Brit: Rizks did try his hand at preparing some biryani though. He ended up with something which was neither from the east nor the west. He is now busy thinking of a name for his new dish:)-

Brit: Rizks should not put his fingers in so many pies...the puncture palace rice is passable but the meat is just steamed rubber from punctured tires...the emporium is awesome though..

What about Rizks' Paani Poori Papadom and Puncture Palace. How is the Biriyani there ?

Zaoq is better than most other restaurants when it comes to Biryanis but yes it is somewhat overpriced.

yes hvac, its obvious from all the other comments that the coffee house seems to be useless...sorry if i was rude..i just meant that since a bad meal upsets you as much as it does me, then you should go where you know you like it...its why i don't experiment much with the restos here and go to the places i have been going since i was a kid...bon appetit :-)

Mohdata: it just happened that i passed by this resto and this is what I got. Really for me, its better than that resto compared to that Resto. By the way I am also an indian and i also cooked biryani at my room. Its just that i was really disappointed to the food I ate there.. and of course the money I paid for that tasteless food matters..

zackm: well zaoq is ok i guess bro and i should not just say all restos are crap, since taste is subjective and everyone likes different things...that was wrong of me...but yes even zaoq is overpriced and tastes pretty commercial i thought...my problem is i've eaten with friends in their homes cooked by their moms and my dad too used to take us to some sensational pak restos in the uae...so compared to that, doha is far behind...but yes if one likes the food, then what i or anyone else says means nothing and you should go for it for sure :-)

Why do I get the feeling that this is turning into a "advertising" post for favourite restaurants :O(

How about Zaoq? I thought they make good Pak Food? I really enjoyed their biriyani. Unless they recently changed cooks :(

then why did you go to this place if you knew Deccan Deewan works better for you? And as a Hyderabadi, I agree with Richard; Deccan Deewan was good when it first opened; now the biryani is a shadow of its former self...Hyderabadi biryani is heading the same way as Pakistani food now in Qatar. I have eaten authentic Pakistani food at friends' and am sad to say that there is absolutely no decent restos here if you wanted a real Pakistani meal.
