Restaurants opening on 1 July

Great news that some restaurants will open again on 1 July, like Nozomi and The Curry house. Are you comfortable dining out in the current situation?

I have seen some rules for the restaurants and it seems as soon as you move away from your actual table you need to place your mask back on and only 2 people per table are allowed to dine together unless they are related. Then I think if i remember correctly it is 4. It will definitely be something to experience i guess. I also saw that tables were to be spread out and only 30% occupancy. Definitely the new normal we need to get use to!

I prefer takeaway rather than dining at a restaurant.

Restaurants are places where the disease spreads easier than in other places. Leaving aside the surfaces which are frequently touched, as I expect that here everything will be frequently sanitized, there is the problem of the air conditioning which moves droplets easily around. It's basically the same issue with every closed space. However, it's much safer to visit large spaces like malls (where you also move around) than small ones (like restaurants, where you sit in one place).

So I think that, if I really want to dine out, I'll look at the size of the restaurant and also call them to find out if the tables are spread all around at a safe distance.
