Experience at Gulf Broasted Doha - Al Nasser Street Off C Ring Road

I tried my best to ignore the shittiest customer service at this place (http://www.zomato.com/doha/gulf-broasted-al-mirqab-al-jadeed) but I am sorry I have to say all this.

The owner of this restaurant really needs to check this fat/dark guy at the counter. He is one of the most ill mannered people I have come across. He made me feel as if I am a beggar and he is giving me free food. He embarrassed me by behaviour not once/twice but thrice on three consecutive visits. It was like he had made a personal agencda to insult me every time he saw my face. I will make a point to to tell this to everyone I come across to tell people how bad the customer service is at this place. I have never in my life experienced customer service like this.

Thank you mohdata. I tried kfc at the center, closest to my place. It is alright. Zinger is good. after extra toasting :)

Let's not compare Dubai and Doha. haha. I was living in Dubai for last 2-3 years. So i know the place well. Doha is not anywhere close but it will catchup eventually. It will require time for that. Also its not about the city or development, its about the mindset. You develop a progressive mindset and the place will transform on its own.

Anyway, just because you guys left comments on my post, here's an offer. If you guys ever have any problems with Ooredoo, hit me up, might be able to help. I am working there, recently joined. Have a great weekend!

cheers

saad: cheers to you for taking our comments positively; none of us was very pleasant; sorry:-)....bro, the owner will never read it, I doubt he has even been to his restaurant recently; and hey, you know, broasted chicken is a different concept; its slightly more healthy and the 'broasting' process doesn't absorb much oil; so it'll be drier than say KFC; but yes they overcook it sometimes....there's a place in the City Center foodcourt called Broaster Chicken and looks promising; failing that, and since we don't have the Saudi Al Baik brand here; KFC is the only satisfying fried chicken here; and even that depends; I agree, the standards of all fast food franchises have been steadily declining; you need to ask for hot food to actually get it; else it's cold soggy fries and crumbly buns...Qatar can beat Dubai at everything except food :-(

Interesting comments guys. You are all right. I am the idiot who went back three times cause first two times I just ignored. Most places in Qatar don't have amazing customer service. Third was over the top. By posting here I am hoping the owner will read it someday and atleast explain to the fat a***ole that he needs to respect customers buying the dried over friend chicken.

Any suggestions for better places? I have given up and started cooking at home. :)

if you let him insult you, it's your fault....if you let it happen 3 times, you probably deserve it; to those who are saying he shouldn't go back; I say go back by all means if the food itself was great; but put that scumbag in his place..seriously, what were you expecting by posting here? Those who like Gulf Broasted will go back regardless of your post. Its you who needs to grow a spine and stand up to him and others like him.

RP, he was not convinced on the first 2 visit if the "fat dark guy" is really rude.... on the third visit - he was convinced!
