voice quality problems in voip...
Hi folks,
M using a wi-fi 2 Mbps Qtel connection. I use voip sofyphones like nymgo, globe7, freecall to call back home. these calls seemed to be working absolutely fine wid gr8 call quality. Suddenly, the call quality has gone bad drastically. My internet is working gr8. Calls also get connected bt just cant hear each other. this is surely not the internet problem. Whereas these calls go good from my husbands laptop. So i suspect this could be a problem in my laptop. M using a compaq cq45-207TU model. Also, the bandwidth test fails in freecall. whereas all the downloads go really well...

My mic, headset, firewall, everythings okay. Wot bout the proxy settings, does nebody know bout that. My neighbours use the same internet service with freecall n their's seems to be working gr8. I really wana call back home. This is such a pain. The voice just breaks and cant hear nething. ne more suggestions pls.???

You can test ur username in another place or even outside Qatar by any one of ur family, Good Luck.
i am facing same problem that might be from Qtel or voip Server nothing to do with your internet connection or PC.
go step by step.
check headphones n mic first.
Check control panel - Audio devices - sound settings.
Disable you firewall n try....(strongly recomended)
