Problem accessing Steam Community website
Can anyone in Qatar access the Steam Community website?
I'm in Qatar for the next few months. I can log into Steam and launch games just fine, I can access the Steam Store website, its Steam Support website and browse the Steam forums, but trying to load http://steamcommunity.com/ leads to web browsers that say "Cannot display this webpage" or "The connection has timed out" several seconds later.
No computers/laptops in my campus wi-fi can reach the website. I'm trying to find out why. Could it be blocked by local ISPs here? Or is it a DNS server issue on any side?
1. Disable your firewall (windows or 3rd party software)
2. Ask network admin about the wi-fi router configuration.
3. What is the speed of the connection?
4. Try accessing the website when you are sure that nobody else is using the internet connection.
I tried the HTTPS address as well, but it's no go.
I spoke with the network admins in my area and they came up with a few specualtions, including that our campus's IP address might have been refused/blocked by Valve's Steam Community website.
I'll create a support ticket on Steam Support page and hope for the best.
Thanks for the replies!

Use this link, it's secure.
typing it without the "S" in http makes that message come up...
working fine here. Try using a different connection/server.
