Install MS Office without a disk drive
I want to install my licensed MS Office 2007 into my Acer Aspire One netbook (XP Home, sp 3) which has no CD drive. I have the original program disk and key. Using another PC, can I copy the disk data onto a USB flash drive and perform the installation from that?
I did it but could not find any exe file to install.Can some one please help me out.
hi, it assumes you have a disk/dvd/cd where the installer is saved. given the above - you have the following options;
1. mount it on another pc and share the drive folder to your laptop w/out a drive, then start installing
2. us a usb flash disk, copy the installer and plug to your laptop and start installing
3. for both #1&2 you can copy the installer to your laptop's drive and use it to install
4. borrow or buy a usb based dvd/cd drive and use it to install.
5. buy a pluggable dvd/cd drive to permanently install a drive to your laptop or pc so you dont need all of the above when you need to install a software to your computer.
hope this options are enough. good luck.
i pressume you have another PC with DVD/CD drive...download a program GBURNER...instal it on both pc..now open GBURNER on pc with cd drive and make an ISO image of you MS office disk.then copy that image to your usb flash disk....insert it to your netbook...open the image with GBURNER and you can install it from there.hope it helps.
Try the steps given below and check whether it will work for you or not..
Copy all the files in MS office CD to your Pen Drive ..Plug the pen drive to your Laptop ..Install the Prog .. enter the key .. thats it.
i dont think copying your files to flash drive would let you install. you have 2 choices.
1) if you have internet, download office setup file directly to your pc and use your original license while installing.
2) get an extrenal DVD drive(portable, which are easily available in the market) and install.
Hope this helps ...Good luck :)
hey,you need to dump it from another hdd via data cable from another computer.
