I have had laptop Acer Aspire 4720TZ Speakers are not great in terms of volume, can I connected an external speakers. Someone told me if there is impedance mismatching that can cause your audio circuit burnt. Can you please advise me?
You can plug in "active speakers". They normally have an impedance of 47 kOhm. That won't hurt the audio amp in your computer. Do not, however, plug in 8 or 4 Ohm speakers. The current they draw is way too much. I = U/R where I = current, U = voltage and R = resistence(Ohm's Law).
