Anyone sucessfull getting Qtel 3G working on an Iphone?

Hello Qatar Living group.

Has anyone been successful getting Qtel 3G working on an Iphone? My Iphone is working on the Qtel network using a turbo sim but I can’t get 3G to work.

My Iphone is from the US; I bought it on Ebay, (new US$720) and had it shipped here via Aramex.

I’ve solved getting caller ID to work and syncing with Itunes, but 3G has defeated me so far.

Any information greatly appreciated.

check you version of iPhone firmware. The newer ones havent been unlocked and the developers are still trying to get a crack for that. Turbosim will unlock it but might be 3G features aren't unlocked. Just wait for a new 3G unlock to come for the current firmwares.

i have the same problem, i solved the caller ID but regarding the 3G and the bluetooth issue it's not been solved and i think it is blocked from Qtel, only Vodafone will activate this facility, you can enjoy all the extraordinary features via WI-FI for the time being
