Why won't someone open up an efficient nail salon here??
This is a bit of a winge and moan, but I have just called about 6 different salons, trying to find someone who could replace ONE acrylic nail that broke off yesterday. And nobody can fit me in at all in the next 48 hours at a time that works for work schedule.
Aaarghhh!
In the States, nail salons that do acrylic and gel nails are a dime a dozen, they're cheap as all get out, and they're run like an assembly line, so you just walk in and get a full set put on in under 30 minutes.
Here, the few places that DO work with acrylic/gel nails charge you an arm and a leg for refills and take 2+ hours to do their work (because they do everything by hand instead of using electric files which take less than half the time).
I wish some enterprising local would just hire a bunch of Vietnamese or Koreans and get a REAL nail salon up and running...
I've found that calling doesn't work well. I just show up and look pleadingly.
Hello dear,
i think that u knocked the right door,
i can do all what ur expecting to have here in qatar.
u just call me and we can arrange for an appointment,
mob:5057259.
Sincerly Rima
PLEASE DO SO
First of all please do not compare Qatar with US. Secondly Everything depends on demand and there is no such demand here for acrylic nails. Nail Polishes are the least selling cosmetics product in the region for the prestige cosmetics industry. Most of the local ladies (major clientele)are muslims and it will be difficult for them for ablution (for prayer) if they use nail polish or artificial nails.
