How well do you know your Middle Eastern superheroes?

As people say, everyone is a superhero in real life. But do you know of these superheroes from the Middle East who have comic books and numerous stories in their own names?

Black Adam is an immortal Egyptian superhero whose powers they say rival that of a certain American hero in blue and red, who some call The Last Son of Krypton.

Kamala Khan is a wisecracking teenage shape-shifter, who descends from Pakistan-American parents. If you ever get on her wrong side, be prepared to get one tight slap delivered to your face, however far away you may be standing.

Ever heard of the Green Lantern Corps? If the answer is yes, then say hello to their exclusive Middle Eastern representative — Simon Baz, Lebanese American, superhero extraordinaire.

Who wouldn’t love being a member of the X-Men team? Sadly, only a ‘gifted few’ ever make it to their hallowed ranks. So do the next best thing, and shake hands with Dust, an Afghani mutant with the power to turn himself into a raging sandstorm.

And how can we forget Asra, the quintessential Khaleeji superheroine, who is modeled on a spunky, no-nonsense Qatari girl?

How many of these superheroes do you know about? How many of their stories would you like to read?
