Since NMOQ has been mentioned, I'd say Museum of Islamic Art is my top 2. Architecture-wise, it's also a gem of a place. Not to mention the very interesting historical art pieces they have on display.
After spending an afternoon over there, you can also go and chill around MIA park! Perfect day out for family and friends.
My favorite museum to visit is the National Museum of Qatar.
I like it for many reasons. To begin with, the structure of the museum is out of this world. It's an impressive and monumental building. The museum tells the story of Qatar in such a unique and fantastic way, mixing technology with regular sculptures, figures, paintings, and installations. There is nothing like it in Qatar.
When you visit the museum you get immersed in a different universe, they have put technology to great use.
The museum spreads over 1.5km, If you are visiting the museum I recommend giving yourself at least 3 to 4 hours so you can properly enjoy it. I also recommend visiting the gift shop. You will find great souvenirs.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.

I would recommend Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum. It has one of the most diverse collections of items of any museums in Qatar.
