I have never been to Kuwait but I saw a situation in Dammam which told me something about Kuwaitis. There was this Saudi at the petrol station waiting in line to fill up his tank. When his turn came, a Kuwaiti drove up and parked his car in front of the Saudi's car and asked the petrol station employee to fill his tank first. This led to a heated argument between the two nationals. The Kuwaiti stated with pride that he was a Kuwaiti and as such it was his right to be served first. The Saudi asked, "Which Kuwait are you talking of? It does not exist as it is under the occupation of Iraq?" I watched the argument taking place with awe. It sent a simple message to me that Kuwaitis are indeed very proud lot of people. Even when they did not have their own country, they did not seem to lose their pride. A Saudi colleague of mine confirmed that Kuwaitis do not consider even Saudis as humans. Keeping that real-life incident in mind, I firmly believe that Qatar is a far better place for expats than Kuwait.

Qatar and UAE is the best, I 've been here for sometimes, cost of living yoy is increasing. Not only in Middle East every corner of the world suffered the same. Qatari People are educated and few are un polite, Since Human rights implemented by the Ex Emir HE Shk Hamad Bin Hamad Althani and Shka Mooza Al Misnad and continuing to the Emir Shk Tamim Althani, Qatar is a well known. For me Qatar is my second home. I Have been to Saudi Arabia, but worst of GCC lot of restrictions, cost of living is less.

If you approach to a Government office they are treating equally no matter what race or color you are, saying Ma'am or Sir.

A Kuwaiti, a Brit, and and American are travelling on an airplane. When the plane gets into serious trouble the three look for parachutes, but there are only two. So the American says to the Kuwaiti: Take the damn parachute! The Kuwaiti turns to the American: what about the Brit? F.u.c.k. the Brit, says the American. The Kuwait: do you think we have time? - Not all Kuwaitis are rude!

Qatar wins hands down. Kuwaitis are arrogant and racist in general.

Qatar is just lovely compared to kuwait...for the same reasons as those mentioned by AaronDz...never hated my stay anywhere except in kuwait and never seen more arrogant and rude people than those in kuwait...

Qatar is better than Kuwait in my opinion. I worked in Kuwait for 7 years. Resigned my job and moved to Qatar a few years ago. Most of the Kuwaitis I came across were very rude and looked down upon Asian and African expats. Cops were very hostile and rude. Cops in Qatar are very helpful and polite. Local kids throw rocks at your car and buses especially on the highways which have led to some serious accidents. Deface your car with spray paint. Too much mugging and no one will come to your help. Local teenagers harass expat families on the streets and shopping malls. Groping by local teens is a common site. Reckless driving by local teenagers endangering the life of expat drivers. Driving here is very pleasant. Temperature is about 10 degrees high in summer and 10 degrees lower in winter in Kuwait compared to Qatar. Too many dust storms. Salary is a bit higher in Kuwait. Cost of living is less. Price of Gold and essential commodities is less compared to Qatar.

Hello there, you should be choosing this by the company profile rather than the place. What are you going to do if Both these options are not suitable for your profile?
