Which is the best driving school in Doha
Hello there,
I have been reading all sorts of bad reviews regarding driving schools in Doha.
I came across reviews and articles that emphasize more on instructors who are rude, money hungry and favor hungry.
Several pieces say that if you don't oblige to their demands they will not teach you properly. And the end result is you keeep failing the driving tests.
Now coming to the point can any one of you out there recommend me a good driving school that strictly adhere to the professionalism and imparts a proper driving knowledge?
Will highly appreciate it! Many thanks in advance.
EDIT: Check Qatar Living's business pages for the best driving schools in the country.
Pls what’s the price of the half course

I got my D.L. within a month. I took VIP Half course (automatic) from Doha Driving Academy - Izghawa. Classes started from the day of joining. They gave me
5 free simulation classes, 5 theory test practices, 4 days inside the school premise for L &P tests training, another 16 on-road training. Classes ended on 22nd and road test was on 24th. It's true that you've to pay something to the trainer.
By the way thank you Mr. Sayed Bakar Ali (my instructor at D.D.A)
Just had my driving test at Gulf driving school.
I am female and have held a UK driving license for over 20 years.
Passed the theory. The road test was with a male police officer who was aggressive and rude from the start.
Two European women in the car both with many years experience of driving, what we we subjected to was appalling.
To start my fellow student. He told her from the start he will fail her, she was almost in tears. Leaning over to her on her face. Waving his finger at her. As soon as we got on the road he shouted at her "you've failed". Then my turn. Throughout the whole test he was texting on his phone. Was late giving instructions but I followed them, indicating, using mirrors etc. No other cars on road yet he pushed the steering wheel to the left I ignored him and continued.
Back at the centre he failed me also.
When I enquired why he said I asked you turn left you didn't, I asked you to turn right you didn't, which was totally untrue.
His behaviour and attitude was appalling.
He was aggressive and rude from the start and when I refused to book another test at that centre and said I not subjecting myself to this behaviour. They phoned my husband and said I swore at him. All lies.
I cannot believe what I just endured.
This is nothing short of abuse.
Alkhebra z the worst driving school..never recommend this to anyone..just for money they give u test date after 4 or 5 months..by the time , u hav to renew ur card..need to pay again for that....and I believe and heard who shud pass the test is all pre planned..no matter how well u do it's not necessary u will pass..and attitude of lady test inspectors are like we are there to harm them..I only hav experience with lady test inspectors..thtz y I specially mentioned lady test inspectors.....no one shud ever opt for alkhebra.....just money minded and waste of money....expect only racist ,irresponsible and rude behavior from alkhebra....very bad experience with alkhebra..I believe it should shud down..
it's 3350 for full course now at Gulf driving school!
Advise me
theoretical oral exam, reverse parking, straight parking passed 2 Year go and road test. Failure but i nead now Driving licence what to do now
Park it in a open space, and correct the cops by saying it is against the principles of driving laws to park in no parking area.
I asked my instructor about parking during the road test, that if the police persons tells to park in a no parking area what should I do. he told me to park, but I am not satisfied by his answer so if any one can guide me.
just call me i will give you proper advise. 7739-4368
Yes I know it, I'm trying and working on it, the biggest hurdle I see is a computer test where u need 18/20 that very tough....so again I am requesting....
somebody please upload alkhebra driving school CD since long time I planing for license and finally now in mar 2015 I am giving teat without any training purely based on my Indian driving license.
Indian driving license first of all does not work and its not the same concept as qatar driving. it is far difference. i would suggest before you fail here go for few classes and then go for test.

My wife and I took lessons with Karwa Driving School. The quality of training instructors would depend on your luck. I had an excellent instructor. The schools actively discourages you from giving money directly to instructors.
Try to go to the driving school nearest to your home or office.

Join the school near to your residence. otherwise you will suffer for months. all school may be same. i got my license through Al Rayah. Passed all the test in first try. but took 3 months just bcoz of the crowd. and the bus service of all the school is not satisfactory. it may not match with your timings. so prefer the nearest.
Dear Al Juli... I have heard quite a few stories myself and was apprehensive about joining a driving school.
Eventually I settled on Al Khebra driving school in Abu Hamour. The only other place that I had enquired with was gulf driving school.
Gulf driving school conveyed that the earliest slot that they could give me was a month away! Al khebra started classes within days of registering.
Al khebra offers pick up and drop off from key points which was convenient. Now I was lucky enough to get an instructor who did give me good driving tips. He was very critical of my driving too ensuring that I didn't get too complacent. At the same time he did drop subtle hints that he wouldn't mind some extra bucks. But I cant say the same for a friend of mine who attended the same driving school as me.. he got a instructor who was more keen on openly ripping him off. But the point i'm trying to make here is that I don't think anyone driving school is better than the other. Ultimately all the instructors are under paid and try to make a quick buck. From what I heard, driving schools also have a system wherein the instructors are graded based on how many of their student clear the driving test. So no instructor will purposely try to make u fail, lest their grading/incentives get affected. Driving schools also let you change the instructor midway if you aren't satisfied and some of the driving schools take these sort of issues seriously. But that said and done, I did 'tip' my instructor eventually but only after the entire course just to convey that no amount of subtle hints will get me to tip him unless I wanted to. hehe.. Anyway all the best! may your roads be ever clear of traffic!
