WATCH OUT!!!
Watch that 'winning notification' it may be a ruse after all!!! it come to my notice that of recent, some people (to which i have fallen a victim) have been receiving series of winning notifications in their email boxes notifying them of their success in the up coming 2012 dv lottery programme. as earlier mentioned, i am a victim myself. i would have pasted the mail i received informing me of my winning on this page, but for the limited space. i had been instructed to forward a case number (it was in the notification) to a particular person whose name i will not like to disclose here, which i promptly did. when no response was forthcoming after two days that i had sent the application, i put a call through to the man in charge, he said they had treated all the mails they had received.
i now decided to use a brother who got to the usa since last year through this programme to verify the authenticity or otherwise of the notification for me. he told me it was all a ruse!!!
find below an extract from the reply i got when i wrote the authority concern about the programme

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
FOR THE ATTENTION OF MRS. HELEN SMITH:
Can anyone please help shed more light on the message about DV LOTTERY 2011 programme I received
19th April, 2011. In the said mail, I was duely informed that I was one of the lucky winners in the
2011 DV 2011 programme. The letter had been signed by MRS. HELEN SMITH and I was advised to
get in touch with one MR. MARK HOWARD for the filling of IMMIGRANT VISA PETITION FORM
which I promptly did. But, to my surprise, up till now I am yet to receive any form from MR. MARK or anybody
for that matter. I even called Mr. Howard twice and he told me they would treat my mail, but has been done since.
According to the mail, anybody that fails to fill the form and got it submitted on or before 10th June, 2011
will have his or her opportunity forfeited. I am now putting this application forward to the concern quarter
to enlighten me on this issue. This application is equally been sent to confirm the authenticity or othrewise of
the notitfication.
Thanking you in advance for your prompt response.
Sincerely,
AFOLABI ADEKUNLE KABIR
