URGENT: Has anyone seen this SIAMESE CAT?

MissKitty
By MissKitty

Our beloved Siamese cat has gone missing - has anyone seen him? We are very worried about him and think he may have wandered into someone's house and they might think that he doesn't have a home, but he does!

If you have seen this cat, please call 680 3275.

ok.. i don't want to post anything funny about your cat as i see the forum is already hot with heated words...

i am sure you are not here to see if any one of us has found your cat as mostly ppl are at workplace or in front of thier computers. so i guess you are here for some advice and sharing your problems.

now,

1)the good thing is that there are not many street dogs here so probabely your cat is safe.

2) mostly cats comes back to place where they find the food.

3) try asking in your nearly area, they might have seen anything or spot your cat.

personaly i feel dogs are more reliable and failthfull than cats. but best of luck for your cat. hope you will find it soon.

winner never quits and quitter never wins.. does it means that only one person will win all the time?

I was going to type you something in response to that but i'll just be the smart one and not take this any further. again good luck with your cat.

Thanks to all the helpful comments. I appreciate it.

To those that aren't maybe Rizks is right - I should just ignore unkind posts. Guess I am just surprised at how mean people can be.

smoke - Kind words are the easiest way to be nice to each other. Frankly, only an immature person would feel that they need to make someone feel worse when they are already sad. Intelligent people do try to negotiate their way out of wars before shooting each other up. I am guessing that your negotiation and inter-personal skills aren't really your strong point, or you would realise that talking and kindness does get you a long way. Picking on someone you don't even know who is clearly upset just makes you look like a bully, which I guess you are since you seem to think that war and aggression is the only way out. I hope people are nicer to you than you are to others, even if you clearly don't deserve it.

Geeze (rolling eyes) If only kind words were all it took to help people in this world, we'd all be sweet talking our way out of Wars. Get real stop behaving like a freaking 12 yr old girl who's cat ran away.

I hope that when something sad happens to you, you find people to help you who are kinder than you are. Your attitude is cruel and hurtful and clearly it makes you feel good to make someone else feel bad. You succeeded, congratulations - you have really hurt someone's feelings today, I hope you are proud of yourself.

smoke please stop contributing to this forum. You are clearly insensitive and rather cruel. Why not just keep your comments to yourself. This website and the forums are supposed to be communities of people helping each other. Your attitude is clearly not geared towards helping people or being kind. Please leave me alone and stop commenting.

Misskitty, being sad isnt going to bring your cat trotting back to you now is it? have you had a look around Qatar recently? its FULL of cats. Cats get lost, run over and catnapped all the time. If someone found this cat they might sell it to make money. Your chances of finding this cat is like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

Jasminejasmine, thank you so much for the note. I have sent Doha vet, QAWs and Qatar Veterinary centre photos of Oscar. Do you know of any other local vets?

I will definitely check the souq - hadn't thought about that yet. Thank you. Will also post an ad in the newspaper - thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it. We are so heartbroken - everything helps!

I know I KEEP saying this over and over but your best chance of finding him is to keep hassling the vet clinics. I always scanned new cats that people had bought from the Souq and several times we found a microchip, when we called the owner it turned out the cat was missing. In all these cases, the Police were called and ruled that the cat belonged to the person who had the Microchip documents or photos of the cat taken before he was missing. They are surprisingly interested in sorting it out. Vet clinics have a high turnover of staff so it's important to visit a couple of times a week and get your face known. I also dealt with many people who found Persian or Siamese cats on the street, stopped the car, picked them up and decided to keep them because they looked cute. If the vet staff have a picture of Oscar and you in their minds, when the cat is brought in, they are more likely to remember.

The Souq and the pet shops are good places to look if you can bear it, you may end up having to pay 3000QR to get your cat back but at least you will know he is ok.

You can also place an ad in the Gulf Times etc and also an ad in the Arabic press. Doha Vets used to have an Arabic template for an ad, you could ask them for help. If you offer a reward you may well be lucky.

Very Very good luck to you, I hope he turns up, JJ

His name is Oscar and thanks for the advice.

Very worried that many people here don't care about pets/animals very much. We even got a prank call from some nasty kids.

Any help finding him would be very kind and greatly appreciated.
