From what I hear, usually a case does not get decided on the first or second hearing and it takes the court several months for it to give a verdict.

Several years back, a Sudanese tried to cheat me out of my money. He even mocked that he new all the ways and laws and that I could do nothing. When I went to the court, I learnt from someone there that is was important for the complainant (plaintiff) to be present on all dates of the hearing otherwise the case would collapse. The other side could stay away from the hearings citing many reasons one of them being ill. I do not know how far this is true. Suggest, you visit the court someday. Usually, there are some lawyers hanging around there looking for clients. May be one of them could advise you better. Or if you can get hold of someone who works in the court, he could also guide you.

Aside from travel ban what will happen to me?

If you dont pay the Money...you will have Jail.

But even if you serve the Jail for 9 months...the travel ban will be still there.

And you will have to pay the house owner the rent to remove the travel ban.

So Jail time is a waste of time and a punishment for not paying on time, not a compensation for not paying.

You pay the bills, and change to cheaper options.

Frankly, I don't think that should happen. Just make a request to him and assure him of your desire to settle the amount within the grace period you have requested. I don't believe judges love to send people to jail unless there is some serious breach of law. Just be normal and ask God for support.

Thanks for the advise acchabaccha, yes im going to court hearing and ask the judge to give me some time to settle the rent.. Im worried bcoz maybe aside from travel ban they will put me in jail or releases some warrant of arrest in put me in prison..

The ban has been placed to stop you from running away without settling the outstanding rent. If you request the judge for some grace period and possibly give a written assurance you will clear the rent by a particular date, he may give you an extension. But then if he has been kind to do so, you must make sure you pay up by that date or you may face a prison term with the ban on travel still remaining in place.
