Three flashing Red lights - XBOX 360 - Help

I am interested to modd my xbox 360 slim. If you know where and how much, pleae PM me.

When you buy an xbox 360, make sure you check the production date and buy the latest one. the ones made in 2009 avoid getting red rings

as i know, 4 lights means theres a problem with the connections from the xbox to the tv.

and the 3 lights means theres a problem with the power wire.

it always happened with me and its easy to fix:

just check the power wire and make sure that u connect it very good in the right way.

*(the meaning of the red lights is easy to find in the xbox 360 catalog)

Yea its been very strict from the last six months , just takes 2-3 connections to the internet for microsoft to detect a modded x360. thats why i an untouched and a modded x360 at home , but never play much!

If u plug in the adapter of a NTSC-US (115v) console directly to the power socket in qatar , the fuse inside the adapter will burst , thats it and u can get it fixed too. but thats not the reason for the 3 redlight damage.

if u bought it fromt he US, it is NTSC, so the voltage in US is 115v, in Qatar its 230-240, if u didnt connect the BIG BRICK to a voltage converter, which wud then connect into the socket, then this may be the reason.

i recently bought my xbox 360 elite from virgin, its PAL (european) so the voltage is almost the same, so i dnt need a voltage converter.

are modded xbox getting banned now again, it this recent another attach by ms?

contact the one and only me in qatar to modd it. But note that every modded x360 is getting banned . which means u wont be able to play online after u modd it. so think about that 2.

how long did u use it non-stop?

i recently bought an Xbox 360 Elite from Virgin Store and its really good!

so far i didnt get any red lights and Inshallah i wont get any.

becuz, if u hv been using it non-stop for a long time, then its likely to happen?

Techincal Care Center is the right place to get ur xbox360 fixed. Unless if u want to do it urself, u can find alot of tutorials on internet hence what I used to do with my old xbox.

Outomobile research institutes say that - in future people who does not know or cannot properly use video game Joysticks will have a very hard time to deive the comming generation cars as it will be all controlled in one small remote like unit rather than holding the whole wheel stearing.

Unless you want to void the warranty, just grab a can of air and blow the dust of it first. Maybe your fan is not rotating at all.

If you already open it just clean with the air can your heat sinks. Dust is number 1 enemy for electronics.

3 redlight is not Hard Disk Failiure , Even if its hard disk failiure , replacing the hard disk will make it.

Reason 1: 3 redlight happens due to the lack of Heat that is been Absorved by the heat sink from the GPU (not the CPU) , the process of repairing it is by removing them brushing them, discharging the programmed error application of the 3 lights and then putting it back with slightly lower mm screws to hold it stronger.

Reason 2: Damaged GPU because of heat , in this case the motherboard shuld be replaced becaause just changing the GPU wont work as there are certain binary keys which has to match the eeprom memory at the motherboard.

there is a way to repair Reason 2 by replacing the GPU , But even the eeprom has to be flashed , for that we need infectus,,

to explain infectus is a big one so..i will leave it until its neccessary

i repaired 1 for myslef and had thought TCC BTW.my GPU was not damaged luckily.

Hard Disk Failure ... sorry but the warranty does not work here. They will not fix it or be able to do so, my friend bought two XBOX 360 and was really disappointed because both got the same problem and no one can fix it or replaces it. Get another gaming console, at least PS3 or Even PS2 never had such a problem ... What can you say ... MICROSOFT!!!

There is a place called TCC (technical care centre) call 180 for the number , located in the middle of the nasser street.

the only guy who does it now is the main technician in there - Mr.Jun (phil national) ,

Carrefour/Toys R Us and Jarir gives you their warranty although they still send it to their supplier if it breaks down. Of course, MS would not cover the warranty for modded boxes.

Yeah, it's quite tricky as between the Xbox 260 and the PS3, the 360 wins hands-down in terms of games and online play. But the machine itself tends to break 30-35% of the time unless you get a Falcon which lessens the percentage of it failing. I've been looking for a Falcon but never found one in th e3 shops I mentioned.

Do not buy the XBOX 360!!!!!!!!!

Cause its a flimsy machine and its not going to be covered by any warranty in the gulf.

I found a place in Doha where they repair ur box but if u have a problem such as mine (3 Rings of death) you will be forced to replace ur Box's motherboard which is approx 75% of the XBOX 360 selling price.

i checked it out paul and it seems that i have to pay 180 or some dollars for the repairs

It seems only first gen and the neginning of the next gen boxs are up for the free repairs offer.

I am just waiting for the PS3 to come up with better titles so that i can make the permanent switch.

The previous XBOX was superior quality wise. The new 360 has been known to fail even after 3 months.

Where did you buy your Xbox 360? Is it not covered by the in-store warranty?

Can you update on this as I'm also planning to buy a 360 myself and dread having the TRoL happen with my purchase.

I think the nearest that you can send your xobx 360 is to Dubai but not sure how they handle it.

Just google it...It will tell you what to do.

basically, you have to ring or email microsoft, and they will tell you to send it to them for a free repair.

No one in Doha that i know will touch it as it will come under microsofts warranty.
