Terms and conditions of residential contract
Hello,
Suppose i rent an apartment on a 1 year contract and get fired say after 7 months, will i have to pay the rent for the rest of the 5 months in the contract before I can exit the country?
Will I need a letter from my landlord and agent to get an exit permit or is an exit permit usually provided by the employer.
Thanks
You can still exit without the landlord's approval. The point is that, if he is good he will let you go and return the deposit to you. If he is bad he will tell you he will keep the deposit as a penalty. Some greedy landlords will even ask for an extra month in addition to the deposit, though in that case you can insit you will not pay a penny besides the deposit. I doubt they can do anything in that case.
Thanks
Normally after you gave out the checks.... don't count on getting them back, depending on contract some checks may return.
All depends on the contract . The standard is that if you can show that you are exiting the country after termination / Resignation , the you will receive back the remainder minus a month penalty
