The road test may not be too bad.

When my daughter took it, there was one policeman in the car and 4 women taking the test.

They only drove about 200m each

I only know of two Qp compounds and one is near the school so most of the ones with kids are on that one and the other is near landmark and its a new compound so quite nice and the people are great on that one it is like a big family they have parties at the pool etc but not every week

I Believe that if you are a good driver, you will never feel the test drive awful.

Yup. They still have those tests. My wife is going to take them this wednesday. It's not really a problem if you're a good driver. The worst would be the Road test...

Do they still use the Police "driving test compound" and do everything in reverse?

1 The hill start

2 The "S"

They were the worst parts.

Hi,

what do u mean by "it's horror"?. :(

Unless the test has changed, it's a horror.

I got QP to just get me a Qatar Driver's license using my valid Saudi License. I don't know for an expired one. However, if you already have a valid license, You can, I think, take an exam directly (road test, parking, etc) instead of attending a driving school.

Sorry, not a QP man.

I hope someone here can help.

I'm also not a Hotmail user.

Good luck.

actually, i am gonna work at QP and my saudi driving license can't be renewed as i am not working in KSA anymore. also, if u have any idea about accommodations that being offered by QP in the probationary period as family status (Location, amenities,...etc), it would be appreciated.

If u have hotmail account, i would like to add you to my msn messenger.

many thanks and best regards,

I dont think any arab licences outside the GCC are exchangeable for a qatari one. If your saudi license can be renewed, i would do that.

On a visit visa, you will be able to drive on an international license but not after 6 months or whenever you get a Residence Permit (whichever is sooner).

Ultimately, you will have to take a driving test here (unless your saudi license is renewable)

Depends how much your company is willing to do for you.

Some people simply get a Qatari license issued on the basis of their national license, others have to endure the test.
