Qatar Airways - overbooking problem
I need sincere advice from you all on the following matter.
I was one of the passenger (with wife and 2 small kids) to New York on the very second flight. however, upon my return journey at the checkin I was not provided seat until very last minute after lot of argument and request, eventhough I had reconfirmed my seat at least 2 time and even provided with Seat No. also.
Worst thing, upon getting my boarding pass I found that all 4 seats were scattered. Imagine this situation. I had to beg fellow passengers to allow us to sit together. (Airline staff was least bothered about this)
Finally during the flight we were the last people to get some junk to eat. and kids had to share with us b'coz they did not have any kids meal. Infact they did not bothered to provide a separate adult meal for the kids b'coz there weren't enough veg meal on board.
When I lodged my complaint with the airline; they wrote a 1 page, useless, email and apologizing for the problem I had. And in the end simply denied any compensation claim.
Could you kindly advise, isn't it the moral responsibility of the airline to provide compensation for this bad serive when they claim to be 5* airline.
I sent several email to airline but in vain. They don't bother to reply.

How could I file it in NY; b'coz I went to NY on vacation.
It my first bad experience with any airline. Do suggest me how to do that
file a case in new york or wherever is the destination and try to claim compensation.

as for myself personally ... never have any luck with QR ... and that airline is in the bottom of the list of our priority when we travelling :D
In cattle class its the same bog standard service and amenities as every other airline I've been on. And in reference to their '5* adverts' - when have you ever been served a FRIED EGG on a plane!!! :D

i tell you i got my ticket confirmed from travel agent and i confirmed it from QA too. now the day when i was travelling i went to the counter gave them my ticket and passport and guess what are they telling me Sir flight is full you have to wait and if there is no seat sorry you have to come next week. woooooooooow that really mad me made i told him i dont know anything just get me the manager who is on duty right now he said he is over there i went to him and said i need a seat thats all dont wana talk alot or listen to your excuses i need my seat with in 5 min. i donot know next they went here and there around and came back to me ok here is ur boardin pass.
