Please help my brother

My brother is already on his 2nd month probation in one of Al Meera branch. He was experiencing verbal harassment as well as unreasonable mistreatment from their branch manager. Recently, he sent a complain letter to their HR and Operations Dept against his manager. When his manager found out, he told that it will be a "big negative effect" to my brother. He even said that my brother is a "bad staff" which is just his conclusion as he was just listening to any false information given by my brother's acting supervisor.

My question is, what will happen to my brother in case of worst scenario comes?

@zaheer yes, i told him already just ignore whatever they will tell or do to him. the fact that he is new, and every move he did, they will inform the branch manager with exaggerated story, so what do you think will be the impression of their manager to my brother?

now he just cant take every words came out from his manager. he even pointed out that my brother is just a kadama "lower than kadama", he dont care whatever happen to him as long as he will work "hard", even he is working too hard, his salary is still too much, which is imagine how much the salary for staff in supermarket. The manager also wanted my brother to work if possible up to 12 hours, and then what, no overtime pay. just work, work, work.

@mamamia

1. yes

2. that is the question. is it because he is new?

3. as per my brother, there is really no problem when it comes to their work. the only thing is, if there are some situation (i.e. going to washroom, taking break), his "acting supervisor" will report to the branch manager that he took so long which made a negative impression to him.

4. he had experience in Receiving clerk in the Philippines. That why he was hired on the same position.

5. he came here last May, Fortunately, he got an offer on May, and started on June.

6. yes, on his first week they wanted him to work even on fridays which is his day off. when he came on friday duty, there was no work to do. what do you think they are up to?

7. we will just wait for the decision, but unfortunately fellow kabayan told my brother that "he is unfortunate since the big boss is the same nationality of their branch manager"

8. it is just work. the question is, if my brother had a mistake in his work, why is it they put all the blame to him? since he is on a probationary period they should assist or guide him, and the fact that there is assigned "acting supervisor" so he will be the one to coordinate with the branch manager. am i right?

my concern..

1. There is so many other staff there at Al Meera

2. Why the supervisor and the manager only against him?

3. Can you tell exactly, was there any clash between anybody at that branch?

4. What was your brothers previous field of work?

5. Since how long is staying here?

6. Its being facing for the last two months, i.e from the date of join. 'm I correct?

7. What was the reply from the HR Manager? If the issue reached the HR manager in this short time, I feel something wrong somewhere.

8. Is it your brother? or subordinate female staff?

9. If its for two months, a real man cannot tolerate anymore....

reply me.

Ok so i assume he does not have RP yet. 1st option: write a letter of transfer to another al meera branch. 2nd option: resign and ask for NOC or exit to bahrain or dubai if they will not give him NOC and then come back again for visit visa but while still here he should look for another job as early as now. 3rd option: i think all of us here in one way or another are experiencing some bad treatment so i suggest tell ur bro to start not minding this people bcoz i think he is just going through a baptism of fire and once he get over it who knows maybe some good things will happen to him. Life abroad is really a survival of the fittest.

@mamamia I already spoke with my brother's colleagues and he is really having a hard time with his supervisor as well as with their branch manager. He is already under company's sponsosrship, do you i think i should still interfere in this situation?

Why can't meet you the manager? If he is harassing him in any manner, there would be a reason. The threat posted here seems one sided. Joining your worries but can't support you until to know the managers point of view.

Go and meet him in person as the care taker. Speak with him nicely and know the point.

Best of luck.

@TDKR my brother told me that it is really too much to take whatever his manager said to him. I told him to just face the consequences of sending complain letter against his manager. we will support him whatever happen.

If they decided to transfer my brother to another branch, that would be fine. but if they decided to terminate him, would it be possible to ask noc? he was hired locally.

In his 2nd month and already sending complaints about his manager?

My money is on him losing his job, sorry.

How can we help anyway?

Pray hard.

Nothing will happen to your brother.

Ask him to keep a diary / record of the words / behaviour of his supervisor.

Face him in a bold manner, keep very good relations with HR and other more senior staff and everyone else.

May be your brother is more capable than his supervisor and supv is feeling insecure and doing mischief.
