Motoring Insurance Law

Hey guys,

I had a non-fault accident the other week, the other driver accepted full responsibility, which was backed up with the police report. Anyhow, yesterday, I go to insurance company to be told that if any new parts are used on my repair, then I will have to pay 50% of the costs!! When I questioned this, I was told that that is Qatari Law. Can anyone who has been in the same situation confirm or deny this please. It doesn't seem right to me. Surely the other drivers insurance is responsible for my repairs, I thought that was the whole idea of insurance. Any help greatly appreciated.

You are right normally most of them follow the same rule that they would charge 50% extra from you for original parts or go for duplicate parts without charging from you
